To lead you through our thinking we started with the obvious; how to create the best experience on our party buses… which then led to the question, what is it that our guests expect from us?
Our guests want fun, entertainment and a great experience
Number one is fun, two is entertainment and three is an overall memorable experience.
To pull off our new philosophy of doing things differently, we started the ultimate experience with none other than the Ultimate Party Bus.
The point of difference this ride would have over all others is that our first pick up would be an awaiting film crew, followed closely by a local R & B, soul-funk band – Ministry of Tone, with a special appearance later by a local band The BoomCat and talented Jazz drummer Vion. Wow! What a lineup.
If you are thinking in simple terms – a band on a bus… sure that’s only a lead singer and guitarist no big deal really.
Introducing The Ministry of Tone
Well we have to correct you there. In keeping with out unique way of doing things when we say a band… we mean a band:
Lead singer (TJ), Drums (Dee), Bass (Ice) and keyboard (Kolo).
Set-up on the bus was a carefully orchestrated slotting of sections and once in place we then made our way to Unitec to pick up an awaiting crowd of students/party specialists, dying for a good time.
Little did they know that onboard the approaching Ultimate Party Bus was a live band already set-up and ready to give them an experience to remember.
This experience we would dub the ‘Live Ride’
The surprise element we had hoped for delivered a resounding wow, visible on the faces of our guests as they stepped aboard.
Encased in the smooth sounds of the band, the fun, unique and spontaneous nature of this ride quickly had everyone onboard dancing and grooving the night away.
As far as our memory is capable of stretching back, this is the first event of its kind for Party Bus and the live onboard band sparked for us a new way of doing what we do – giving our guests the ultimate experience.
So in terms of delivering on what it is our customers expect form us: fun, entertainment and a memorable experience, this event definitely had all of these elements. But over and above that, our live band delivered beyond all expectation, adding a wow factor that was hard to beat… and for others out there, hard to replicate.
For all its success, this inaugural Live Ride could be the start of many great things to come.
Or when we have our next successful brainstorming sessions that results in added ways of doing things differently, we will be sure to let you know.
