Covid-19
Hires booked prior to 29 November 2021
Please ensure you understand the following prior to making deposit payments for hires that could be affected by Coronavirus and the alert levels in New Zealand. If your hire is impacted by a change in alert level where we are unable to operate our services you will have an option to postpone your hire and move your deposit to a date that better suits. If you choose to cancel and not postpone then your deposit will be lost. Deposits paid cover the cost to organise the events booked.
If we are in an alert level where we are able to operate and you choose to cancel your event standard cancellation terms will apply.
Events after 29th November
We have now moved into the Traffic Light alert level framework. Auckland is currently in Red Level this does mean we have restrictions on numbers that are able to travel onboard our buses due to the confined space and the requirement to be able to have 1m spacing. This limits guest numbers to 25. We are able to operate with or without vaccine passports. Some events they will be a requirement
We are able to operate our services at all levels of the traffic light alert level settings. If we are in an alert level where we are able to operate our services and you choose to cancel or postpone your event standard cancellation/payment Terms and Conditions will apply. Deposits are non-refundable.
Payment Terms
Deposits are required to confirm all our events and bus hires, and are non-refundable. All enquiries you make with us are noted in our system as a quotation. Quotations do not reserve a bus or event for you, it is only once we have received your deposit that we are able to confirm your booking and allocate a particular vehicle or space at an event. So please confirm your booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
If you do need to cancel your booking please do so well before the booking date. Bookings that are cancelled with inappropriate notice will be charged to the client at the full value of the hire or event.
if you choose to postpone your event from a date we are able to operate our services there will be a $250 transfer fee to do so. Late notice postponents where staff have already been confirmed to work will incur a higher fee in order to cover loss of wages as a result of the postponement. This fee will be advised at the time of cancellation of your original date.
If for any reason we need to send your debt to a debt collector you will be charged debt collection fees.
What happens if the bus is late?
In the unlikely event that the bus arrives late for your pick up due to delays which are often out of our control, we will give you a credit for TWICE the time lost or a credit for the value of the time lost to be used on a future event. The Party Bus Company Ltd does not accept liability for consequential losses which may occur.
What if something goes wrong on the night?
Things can go wrong that are outside our control. In the unlikely event something does go wrong on the night, such as an equipment failure that does not effect the safety or ability for the bus to continue on its journey but will severely be a detriment to your trip you have the choice to either a) send the bus away and discuss a refund with the office on the next business day (there is no refund if you simply decide not to use the vehicle, the full charter amount will be payable), b) wait for a suitable replacement vehicle. (Additional time will, where possible, be made available to you on the night). c) choose to use the existing bus to complete the service.
Please note that if you choose on the night to use the vehicle or wait for a replacement we do not give a cash refund for the service however we are happy to discuss other options as compensation you, please keep in mind that onl y office staff are able to discuss compensation with your staff onboard the buses do not have the authority to make decisions on these matters. Please get in touch with the office at your earliest convenience (business hours) if this event occurs. we want you to leave our service happy and use us again. Remember we are a transport company and our main service is getting you to where you are going.
4 October 2021 – Our understanding is we will be able to operate in faze 3 of the current alert level when hospitality venues are able to open for a max of 50 people.
Where can you be picked up from?
Please keep in mind that you are booking a large passenger vehicle, we are not always able to pick up from your door step. If you are on a dead end road not suitable for a bus to turn around at we will need to park at the top of your road ready for collection. Drivers aim to get as close as safely possible to your address but many factors can impact how close a bus can get e.g parked cars, overhanging trees, narrow streets. You are unable to see your bus and driver from the road the driver or host will give you a call or advise you where they are located.
Lost Property
We take no responsibility for any items left on our buses, however, any items that are found will be kept in our office for seven days for safekeeping. After this period, we reserve the right to donate or dispose of the items accordingly.
Bookings
Charter bookings are subject to availability at the time confirmation is received. Our buses are not able to travel down clients driveways and if you live on a dead end street it will be the discretion of our operations team or drivers regarding if it is safe to travel down this road as they need sufficient space to safely turn the vehicle around. We will endeavor to advise you prior to your event date if we are unable to get close to your address however we are only able to see so much on google maps so will be up to the driver on the day.
Departure Times
The pick up time booked is the planned arrival time of the vehicle booked. We give our drivers sufficient time to to arrive at their destination on time and ready to depart, however, if there are circumstances beyond our control we cannot be held liable for these delays. On any Pub Crawl hire if there is a delay we will add TWICE the time delay at the end of the hire subject to vehicle availability.
Repairs and Cleaning
Depending on the hire there is an expected level of cleaning. If a greater level of cleaning is required you may be required to pay for this. If one of your group is sick on the bus there will be a $50 cleaning charge. Any damage to the vehicle caused by the passengers will be charged to the organisor and the organisor will take responsibility to pay for these repairs and seek recompense from the person concerned.
What else should you do?
We recommend you have taxi chits available for your guests if they become too intoxicated so we can get them home safely and it does not affect everybody’s evening. Don’t always go to the busy bars – you will spend all your time queuing and not in the bar having fun. Remember with a full bus you will fill the bar anyway! The driver and or host reserve the right to terminate the hire at any time should these rules be breached.
